Tony Arbolino

Tony Arbolino

Tony Arbolino started racing at an early age and began competing with pocket bikes at the age of 7. His early success in regional and national competitions set the stage for his entry into higher levels of racing. His international debut came in the 2017 Moto3 World Championship with Sic58 Squadra Corse under the guidance of Paolo Simoncelli, the bike a Honda, before moving to Team Snipers the next season, where he took two pole positions in his first season with the Italian team.

2019 was the season that earned Arbolino a permanent place under the spotlight, with the Italian rider scoring his first career win, a magnificent triumph in his home race at Mugello, followed by a second at the iconic TT circuit in Assen. His consistency throughout the season earned him several top finishes and six more podiums, but a few too many mistakes cost him the chance to challenge for the title, as he finished the year in 4th place in the championship standings.

Arbolino was a title contender until the final race in Portugal in 2020, thanks to a win and five other podiums, but in the Covid-shortened season the Italian was forced to sit out the Aragon GP due to a controversial decision (although not positive, he was stopped for being on a flight with a Covid-positive passenger) and the points lost in that race cost him a very possible Moto3 title, as he finished 4 points behind Moto3 World Champion Albert Arenas.

The next year, Arbolino moved up to the intermediate class with the Liqui Moly Intact GP Team. Four results in the top 10, including fourth in Le Mans, helped him achieve fourteenth place overall and a seat in the Marc VDS squad for 2022. The move to the Belgian team marked a significant step in Arbolino’s career, as he took his first Moto2 win in Austin and then again in Thailand and Malaysia – plus two more podiums – to finish the season 4th overall. At the start of the 2023 season, Arbolino was the main candidate for the title together with rising star Pedro Acosta, and a fantastic start gave the illusion that the Italian rider could finally put his hands on the big trophy, with two wins (Termas de Rio Hondo and Le Mans), three second places (Austin, Mugello and Sachsenring), and one third (Portimao) in the first seven races, with a fourth place at Jerez as his worst result. But the strong comeback of Acosta, and a few too many mistakes and not too brilliant races forced Arbolino to surrender to the Spaniard, with the Italian finishing runner-up in the championship.

2024 was a season to forget, as Arbolino only found a good balance with his bike in the second half of the season, scoring three podiums and finishing the season in 10th place, leaving the Marc VdS team to take on the challenge of BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 on a Boscoscuro bike.

Izán Guevara

Izán Guevarabegan his motorcycling career at the tender age of 3, and since then the Mallorcan rider has continued to progress by leaps and bounds. At the age of 16, his star shone brightly in the FIM CEV Repsol, where he won the European Talent Cup and the Moto3 Junior World Championship. During his time in the European Talent Cup, he won six races in a row and clinched the title with three races to spare.

In 2020 he stepped up to the Moto3 Junior World Championship and was crowned champion straight away. Thanks to this incredible result, the Aspar team signed him up for 2021, and the rookie did not disappoint the expectations. After many excellent performances, Guevara finally made it onto the podium at the Americas GP, where he was declared the race winner following a red-flagged race, en route to finish the season as 8th overall.

In his second season on the World Championship circuit, the Spaniard was considered by many to be an outsider for the 2022 Moto3 crown, but he ended up stunning everyone. He clinched the championship with two rounds to spare with his sixth win of the year in Australia and bade farewell to the smallest class with another victory in Valencia, his fourth triumph from four Spanish rounds.

He continued to defend the Aspar GASGAS team colors in 2023 after making the step up to Moto2. In his first season in the intermediate category the young Spaniard struggled to make an impact, with a sixth place as his best result. In 2024 he struggled to secure regular top-10 finishes, but did manage a podium finish in Malaysia at the end of the season, finishing third.

With two years of Moto2 experience behind him, he’ll be one to watch in 2025 as he embarks on a new journey with the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team.
